Canicross Trailrunners

  1. Jon and his dog Otto

Jon and his dog Otto do all thier Ultra Marathons for the Parachute Regiment Charity . Jon says  “We started off by raising £4k odd for Help for Heroes, £2k odd for Combat Stress then was contacted by my regimental charity to help raise funds for them. The reason I said yes was because they cater for former Parachute Regiment soldiers from 2nd world war, Korea, Northern Ireland, Falklands to the present day.
So far we have raised just under £2k and are hoping to raise as much as possible.
I have a number of Ultras booked but the biggest one we are doing will be on 26th July - 28th July 2013 which is the Lakeland 100 mile Ultra to be completed in 40 hours.  It starts and finishes in Coniston in the Lake District at 5pm on the Friday night and must be completed by midday on the Sunday (40 hours).  Whilst I have no doubt Otto will complete it no bother - he will be carrying and pulling me over the most demanding terrain in the UK.”

Canicross Trailrunners would like to congratulate the tremendous effort that both Jon and Otto go to, if you would like to offer your support to these guys in their ventures you can offer a donation to the just giving site listed below and join Jon and Otto’s facebook page also listed below.!/pages/Jon-Otto-Race-for-the-Parachute-Regiment-Charity/270361892974451?sk=info
